History: Kyo grew up very quickly as a child because her family abandoned her as a small vulpix. She was picked on constantly because she gave herself a boy's name and that she didn't have any parents. She was quickly heading down a path where she was getting into trouble all of the time. Some of the parents wouldn't let her play with thier children because she was deemed a "bad influence" but they turned the other way when she was getting beat up.

This built up her hatred to towards bullies and the area keepers for ignoring her when she was in need.
Kyo came across a fire stone when she was in trying to look for something to eat and she pick pocketed her soon to be mentor. She quickly fled to somewhere secluded. The fire stone glowed in her hands and Kyo became a ninetales.
Her mentor tracked Kyo down with ease witnessing her transformation. There was something about Kyo that made her want Kyo to be her student. Kyo was rough around the edges but her mentor thought she can make Kyo shine like a diamond with her training.

The mentor gave Kyo a proposition if Kyo were to defeat her in three moves she could go free and if Kyo didn’t succeeded then Kyo would have to become her student. It was obvious that Kyo would accept her challenge and that Kyo didn’t succeed.
Kyo was forced to join something she didn’t want to do and she bit the bullet because she lost and gave her word to a complete stranger that she stole from.
Kyo quickly learned the many skills she needed to become a ninja. Her mentor was quite excited with the results because Kyo didn’t get into much trouble. If Kyo did then she would be punished and she didn’t really learn it the first few times when she was training.

Her sensei fell ill a couple of years later and was bed ridden Kyo didn’t know how to react. Kyo couldn’t believe someone would do this to her. She loved her sensei and now someone is going to take her teacher away from her. Kyo informs her teacher that she wants to become stronger and that she will win the tournament so sensei could get some medical treatment. Her sensei was about to protest, but Kyo already made up her mind.

She was going to save her sensei and this is how Kyo's adventure began.
